A Word About Honesty

This month, I went on a trip to Texas to meet with some of the people at Apartment Life about their online learning. I've just completed the storyboards for the first two courses and it's got me thinking about something that happened while I was meeting with them. We were talking about the second course, which is part of their Application process. The course serves two purposes. One, it needs educate those who'll be great fits for their program and two, it should help those who wouldn't be good fits to realize it. So there's this give and take of information.

Growing up Southern Baptist, and working in a Christian Bookstore, the name of Beth Moore was kind of a household name. Second, You Rock! Seriously, you do. Your blog is perhaps the best example of simple facilitation of incredibly easy, interactive and engaging ways to use the web to teach. And frankly, you and the blogging team are showing up a lot of younger churches and ministries that I would've thought had the market on this kind of thing. Among the first few things that a church or non profit probably puts on it's list of needs is a web site. The Difference Makes Us Different

The Difference Makes Us Different

GOOD LEARNING is a bit of a different kind of professional organization/non-profit/blog site. We're different in that the field we're looking to reach doesn't really exist yet. It's not there. Wait, strike that. It's there, it just hasn't been discovered or properly resourced yet. As such, there's a lot that we're going to discover as we begin to unite people who use the web to push Christ. GOOD becomes then, like the explorer at the front of the line who helps chart the way for others. This site should serve us a good map to help navigate. It means then, that

What we’ve started to refer to as “the equation” is the catalyst for both GOOD and also for the team’s impetus for Brave Learning. Let’s walk through the pieces of the equation together. E LEARNING + GOSPEL = ONLINE DISCIPLESHIP It starts out with “Online Learning” or “E-Learning”. In the Marketplace, the idea of using the web to teach, to train and to relay information is more than just a new, easily replaceable novelty. It’s become a cornerstone for most and for many it’s become an entire model for how information and education passes through the company. The church, ministries and Christian schools
